One drawer is warm while the rest of the fridge is fine. Electrolux builds temperature-controlled drawers with their own sensor, damper and in some cases a heater, so a single drawer running warm or freezing its contents is a fault in that drawer’s control rather than in the refrigerator. It is a contained repair and frequently misdiagnosed as a failing appliance.

The fridge is warm but the freezer stays cold. Evaporator fan or a defrost circuit that has stopped cycling. Cold air is made in the freezer and moved across, so when that transfer stops the freezer carries on unaffected. It almost never means the sealed system.

Frost keeps building up inside. Defrost heater, defrost sensor, or a door that has stopped sealing. On counter-depth models the doors carry more weight relative to their depth, so hinge wear shows up as a seal problem sooner than owners expect.

Water and ice have slowed to a trickle. Change the filter before booking anyone — an expired cartridge restricts flow badly and is behind a great many calls that never needed to happen. If a fresh one does not fix it, the inlet valve is next.

It runs constantly and never cycles off. Condenser thick with dust, a failing condenser fan, or warm air past a seal. Counter-depth units are often built into tight surrounds with little clearance, and a fridge that cannot shed heat at the back works harder for the same result.

Water is pooling under the crisper or on the floor. Almost always a blocked defrost drain and a straightforward clear. Worth doing before it reaches the flooring.
