Blomberg Washer Repair

It will not drain and water is standing in the drum. The pump filter behind the small flap at the bottom front. Coins, buttons and hairpins collect there, it is designed to be cleared periodically, and almost nobody who inherited the appliance was ever told it exists.

The door will not unlock at the end of a cycle. Door lock assembly. Cheap part, extremely disruptive — your laundry is sealed inside a machine that will not open, in a closet you cannot get around.

It bangs hard or shifts on spin. Compact machines spin faster than full-size ones because a smaller drum needs more speed to extract the same water, so they are far less forgiving of worn shock absorbers or an unlevel floor. In a stack, that vibration also transmits into the dryer above.

It has never spun properly since it was installed. Check the transport bolts. These ship with bolts through the back panel locking the drum, and they must come out before first use. On builder installations they are occasionally left in, and the damage accumulates quietly.

It is leaking from the front. Door gasket, almost always the lower fold where water and detergent sit. In a closet this is worth catching early because the water has nowhere visible to go.

Cycles have become extremely long. Usually the heater failing, so the machine keeps extending the cycle waiting for a temperature it never reaches — or a balance it cannot achieve, which loops back to the suspension.

If the dryer stacked above needs attention, Blomberg dryer repair covers it.
