The fridge is warm while the freezer stays cold. Evaporator fan or a defrost fault. Cold air is generated in the freezer and moved across, so when that transfer stops the freezer carries on while the fridge slowly warms. It almost never means the sealed system.

Frost is building up inside. Defrost heater, defrost sensor, or a door that has stopped sealing. On counter-depth models the door carries more weight relative to its depth, so hinge wear shows up as a seal problem sooner than people expect.

It is running noticeably louder or more often than it used to. Condenser fan or a condenser thick with dust. Bosch counter-depth units are often installed in tight surrounds with limited clearance, and restricted airflow at the back makes the appliance work harder for the same result.

The ice maker has stopped or is producing hollow cubes. Inlet valve, the supply line, or a partially frozen fill tube. Low water pressure at the valve is a more common cause than a failed ice maker, and replacing the assembly when the valve is at fault fixes nothing.

Water is pooling under the crisper drawers. Blocked defrost drain, and a straightforward clear. Worth doing before it works its way out onto the floor.

Home Connect has stopped responding. The connectivity module or the app pairing rather than the refrigerator. A fridge that has dropped off the network is still cooling, and that is worth knowing before anybody panics.
