It will not start because it thinks the drawer is open. The position switches again. The appliance will refuse to run unless it can confirm the drawer is fully closed, which is correct behaviour rather than a fault to bypass.

It sparks inside the cavity. Stop using it. Normally the waveguide cover or the cavity coating — both repairable, but running it in that state destroys the magnetron.
The control panel is unresponsive. On an under-counter installation the panel sits close to the cooking surface above, and heat shortens its life. It is a component replacement rather than a reason to replace the appliance.
It is louder than it used to be. The cooling fan or the drawer drive. On a unit built into a cabinet run, noise is often the first sign a mechanism needs attention.
