One Vario module is dead and the rest are fine. This is the most common call we get on a Gaggenau cooking surface, and it is genuinely good news. Each Vario module is its own appliance with its own control and its own power feed, sharing only the cutout. The diagnosis stays inside that one module rather than spreading across the counter.

An induction zone will not recognise cookware, or cuts out under load. Usually the coil, the cooling fan beneath it, or the power board. A zone that works cold and drops out once it is hot points at cooling before anything else. Induction hardware is brand-specific and there is no generic substitute for it.

The Teppan Yaki will not reach or hold temperature. Element or sensor. Because the plate is designed to sit at a precise, even temperature across its whole surface, a sensor drifting by a small margin shows up in cooking long before it registers as a fault.

A gas burner clicks but will not light, or will not hold a low flame. Igniter electrode, a blocked port, or valve wear on the burner concerned. The wok burner runs hardest and tends to be the first to need attention. Any valve work ends with a gas-tightness check — that part is not optional.

The touch controls have stopped responding or keep locking out. Sometimes moisture or residue on the glass, often the control board underneath. Worth having looked at rather than lived with, because a control fault can leave a zone stuck on as easily as stuck off.

The grill or deep fryer module has stopped heating. Element or thermostat in most cases. These modules are unusual enough that parts come from Gaggenau rather than a generic supplier, so we confirm availability before quoting.
