A burner that will not light takes the kitchen out of service the moment you find it, normally with a pan already on the heat. An induction zone will not recognise cookware, or cuts out under load. Coil, the cooling fan beneath it, or the power board. A zone that works from cold and drops out once things are hot points at cooling first. Induction hardware is model-specific with no generic substitute.
The oven below is not heating evenly while the surface is fine. On a range these are two appliances sharing a cabinet. KitchenAid’s Even-Heat True Convection uses a bow-tie element with its own fan, so uneven results usually mean that fan or its element rather than the bake element everyone checks first.
The display or the touch controls have stopped responding. Control board or the membrane behind the panel. Worth diagnosing rather than power-cycling repeatedly — a board failing intermittently only gets worse, and a control fault can leave a burner stuck on as easily as stuck off.
