The door will not seal, or the glass has fogged between panes. Hinge wear and gasket failure both let heat escape, and both show up as longer preheats well before the door looks wrong.
The control panel is unresponsive or throwing a code. Board or a failed switch. Reading the code first usually saves replacing a board that was working.
Self-clean will not start, or the lock will not release afterwards. Door latch motor or a thermal cut-out. Do not keep retrying a failed clean cycle — those temperatures will take other components with them.
