The important half of this diagnosis is why: a thermal fuse blows because airflow was restricted, never on its own. Everything comes out damp on a full cycle. The drum will not turn but the motor runs. Broken belt or a seized roller. The motor is fine — it is driving something that will not move. On many Maytags that motor is a 10-year warranty part, so it is worth confirming the motor really is at fault before anyone replaces it.
