Cycles have crept up over months and clothes come out damp. Almost always the condenser unit clogging with fine lint. There is a secondary filter behind the plinth that most owners have never opened, and once the heat exchanger blocks, the machine cannot shed moisture. Cleaning it restores performance and costs nothing but access.

The water container warning keeps returning after emptying. The level sensor, or on plumbed installations the condensate pump that should be sending water to a drain instead of the tank.

It tumbles with no heat at all. On a heat-pump model that is the refrigerant circuit or a thermostat; on a condenser model, the heating element. These are genuinely different repairs with different economics, so establishing which machine you have matters before anyone quotes.

There is water on the floor under the machine. The condensate path — tank seal, pump, or the hose if it is plumbed. On a ventless dryer there is always water inside the appliance, so a leak here is entirely plausible rather than odd.

It will not start, or stops shortly after starting. Door switch, thermostat, or the control board. On a stacked installation the door switch takes more abuse than people realise.

It has become noisy. Drum bearings, rollers or the blower. Worth catching early on a machine that is awkward to remove from a closet or a stack.
